What does CC Reward actually do?
It tracks the perks and statement credits on the credit cards you already hold — what resets monthly, quarterly, or on your card anniversary — and tells you what's about to expire unused. It also answers “which card should I use for this?” based on your own cards' earn rates.
Do I have to connect my bank?
No. Everything works if you log credits by hand. Connecting a bank (read-only, via Plaid) just automates detection — a qualifying charge burns the right credit without you doing anything. You can disconnect at any time, which deletes the transactions we hold.
Do you store my card numbers?
Never. The app stores card products — “an Amex Gold, opened March 2024” — and the state of its perks. There is nowhere in the database for a card number, and bank credentials are handled entirely by Plaid; they never reach our servers.
How does the household sharing work?
Each account starts its own household. Share your household code from Settings and the other person joins it, and you see one shared wallet. Shared credits (a $100 hotel credit on the account) count once; per-person perks like Global Entry are tracked separately for each authorized user.
Where do the perk details come from?
A commercial card database, supplemented by AI for cards it covers poorly, and hand-curated data for the most popular cards. AI-sourced entries are labelled so you can verify them, and you can report anything wrong from the card page — it goes straight to a review queue. Always check big-ticket credits against your issuer's own terms.
Is two-factor authentication required?
Yes, for password accounts — this app holds a picture of your finances. You choose the method: a passkey (Face ID, fingerprint, or a security key), an authenticator app, or emailed codes. You can switch between them anytime; you just can't turn 2FA off. Google sign-ins rely on your Google account's own 2FA.
What does it cost?
Nothing today. If paid tiers ever arrive, the perk tracking you're using now stays free.
Can I export or delete my data?
Yes. Email [email protected] and we'll delete your account and everything in it, permanently and promptly. Bank connections can be removed yourself in Settings at any time.
Is this affiliated with any bank or card issuer?
No. CC Reward is independent and not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any issuer. Card names and artwork belong to their respective owners.
